Perfect Fit, Perfect Comfort: Thea J’s Approach to Sizing

At Thea J, we firmly believe that size is just a number. Our pajamas and loungewear are designed to be loose fitting for comfort. The amount of ease you prefer can be accommodated depending on the size you choose. That’s why we’ve adopted a number system of sizes ranging from 1 to 4, along with flat lay measurements to help you discover the ideal fit for yourself.

What is flat lay?

With flat lay, we place the garments on a flat surface and then take measurements that are provided on our size charts below.

How to determine your size from flat lay measurements?

There are 2 ways to do this:

1. Take measurements of your favourite garments and compare and/or

2. Take measurements from your body as laid out below and add to allow for ample ease and comfort

Pajama Tops:

Chest - measure from one underarm side seam to the other

Sleeve Length - from shoulder seam to sleeve hemline

Top Length - from shoulder seam to hemline

Pajama Bottoms:

Waist: from side to side at waistline

Hip: from one side seam to the other at broadest point of the hipline

Length: from waistline to hem

Bowen & Paisley Robes:

Chest - measure from one underarm side seam to the other

Hip: from one side seam to the other at broadest point of hip line

Length: from shoulder seam to hemline

Tofino Nightshirt:

Chest - measure from one underarm side seam to the other

Hip: from one side seam to the other at broadest point of hip line

Length: from shoulder seam to hemline

Sizing Estimates:

Size 1: XS - S

Size 2: M

Size 3: L

Size 4: XL
