Like all the best ideas, the concept of Thea J came to fruition over a glass of wine. There we were, two sisters at the prime of their lives unable to find the perfect pair of pajamas. What would that look like you ask? Here was our wish list for our artisanal sleepwear and loungewear:
Natural fabrics (linen, cotton) that are sustainable and eco-friendly.
Expertly handcrafted in small batches on Bowen Island, British Columbia (proudly Canadian). Each piece is meticulously constructed and finished with percision.
Timeless and elegant garments that are made-to-order which allows customization in regards to hem length, and pockets.
Designs that are comfortable and complimentary for all body types
Pieces that can easily transition from sleepwear to loungewear
Easy care. Gentle wash in cold water and hang to dry
And just like that, the idea of starting our own pajama/loungewear line came together. Thea J is the combination of our names Anthea and Jennifer. Anthea’s love of fashion design and background in business paired with Jennifer’s incredible gift of bringing design ideas into reality with her unparalleled sewing abilities turned out to be the perfect match.
