The Beauty of Slow Fashion and Made-to-Order
At Thea J Pajamas, we believe that how you rest is just as important as how you live—and we carry that belief into how we design and make each piece.
Born from a simple desire to find the perfect pair of pajamas, Thea J was founded by two sisters—Anthea and Jen—on beautiful Bowen Island. We wanted timeless, elegant pieces made with natural fabrics and intention. When we couldn’t find exactly what we were looking for, we created it ourselves. And we knew from day one: fast fashion wasn’t for us.
Here’s why we’ve chosen to slow down—and why we believe slow fashion is the future.
We Make to Order—Because You’re Not One-Size-Fits-All
When you place an order with Thea J, we begin making your garment just for you.
No mass production.
No overstocked inventory.
No waste.
This allows us to:
Adjust details or lengths to better suit you
Offer more thoughtful designs rather than chasing trends
Focus on quality, not quantity
We Use Natural Fabrics That Breathe With You
We only work with natural fiber fabrics like cotton and linen—materials that feel good on your skin and are kind to the planet.
They:
Breathe better, so you sleep more comfortably
Soften over time, growing better with age
Decompose naturally, unlike synthetics
It’s beauty without compromise. For you, and for the earth.
We Believe in Fewer, Better Things
Slow fashion invites us to rethink how we buy.
Instead of overflowing drawers and fast trends, we create a smaller collection of elegant, versatile loungewear that moves effortlessly from morning tea to an afternoon nap to evening journaling.
Every Thea J piece is designed to be:
Comfortable enough to sleep in
Elegant enough to answer the door in
Timeless enough to keep wearing, season after season
Made to Rest, Made with Care
Our goal is simple: to help you rest well, live slowly, and surround yourself with things that bring you peace and joy.
We hope that when you slip into a Thea J set, you feel the difference. Not just in the fabric, but in the philosophy stitched into every seam.
Because fashion should never be rushed. And neither should your rest.
